How do I order this service?

Click on ‘Sign Up’ from the top menu on this page and create your account.

How do I use this service?

In order to use our service, you must have a device with a static IP address or DNS name that is capable of receiving SIP calls. Some examples include IP-PBXs, SIP Servers, VoIP Gateways and IP-Based IVR systems. When you submit your order, you need to provide us the IP Address(es) or domain name of your equipment. We will then route all of your access numbers (DIDs) to the IP Address that you have provided and call you to perform a test.

What is a channel?

A channel is a virtual phone line or virtual connection between your equipment and ours that allows a single phone call to pass through. If you have multiples channels, you can have multiple calls at the same time. All our DIDs come standard with 20 simultaneous channels.

What is a DID?

A DID is phone number that we assign to you to operate your service. Whenever your customer calls this DID from PSTN, our system instantly knows to route this call to your system.

What is a SIP?

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the de facto signaling standard for real time communication including VoIP. SIP is open standard which allows a logical connection between an IP PBX and a Service Provider’s application servers that allows voice over IP traffic to be exchanged between the two.

Is there a limit to the number of DIDs or channels I can order?

Theoretically, there is no correlation between the number of DIDs that you have and the number of channels that you can have. Our DIDs come standard with 20 channels. If you need more that 20 channels then we can give you buy additional channels for $1 each. For example, if you need 30 channels then you pay $10 extra per month for your DID.

What are some typical applications for DIDs?

In-house or Hosted IVR Services
In-house or Hosted Voicemail Services
ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider)
Prepaid or Pinless Calling Card Services
Telephone Chat Services
Inbound Calling for Domestic and International Call Centers

No.

Will DIDs purchased through DIDforSale work for customers outside the United States?

DIDforSale send calls to a static IP address/DNS Name of your system via VoIP. It does not matter where the equipment is situated in the world, provided that the customer has a good Internet connection. This means that a call center in India can own USA phone numbers that ring on their equipment in India.

My equipment does not support VoIP – how can I make the DIDs work for me?

By placing a VoIP gateway in front of your existing equipment, you can convert IP DIDs from DIDforSale into traditional phone lines. This will make the transition from traditional lines to VoIP transparent to your equipment and your customers.

Is there any disconnection charge for the DID?

All DIDs have a 6 month commitment. If a DID is cancelled within six months of purchase then a disconnection charge of $10 per DID applies. There is no disconnection charge after the 6 month commitment or if we change the rate or terms of the agreement. We do allow our customers to test one of our DIDs to check our service before making any purchase. There is no cost or obligation for testing.
