What is MMS?
MMS stands for “Multimedia Messaging Service”. It is an extension of SMS, but unlike SMS you can send media files like photos, audio, video, GIF and many more.
Does MMS have a character limit?
MMS can be used to send longer text messages with a character length of 1600 characters.
Does MMS cost more than SMS?
Since MMS requires more data to be transmitted over the network it’s slightly more expensive than SMS.
Are MMS regulated like SMS?
Yes. Just like SMS, MMS are regulated by CTIA and you are required to follow the guidelines.
